Who We Serve

Eligibility & Requirements

Veteran Eligibility

  • Honorably or generally discharged veterans of any branch
  • Active duty service members within 180 days of separation
  • Veterans experiencing housing instability or homelessness
  • Spouses or surviving dependents of qualifying veterans
  • Must carry or obtain renter's insurance prior to move-in

Property Owner Requirements

  • Properties located in Florida or South Carolina service areas
  • Home must pass Shield & Shelter habitability inspection
  • Owner agrees to above-market lease rate (+10% standard)
  • Must execute Shield & Shelter Master Lease Agreement
  • Willingness to partner long-term with our housing mission
